We were asked to translate employee review and safety policy documents into Mexican Spanish for a company based in Texas North America. Pre-existing translations of similar documents were leveraged so they enjoyed cost savings from memory matches plus continuity and high standards of translation.

Spanish Marriage Certificates Translations For South West England Solicitors

Solicitors with offices based in Truro, Helston, Falmouth and other various locations in the South-West of England required certified translations of a Spanish Marriage certificate into English. Part of the service involved scanning the certificate using optical character recognition software making all the text fully editable. Delivery consisted of providing 3 copies of the original with translations and certification verifying the accuracy and professional quality of the translation.

Toy Documentation Translated into German, Italian, Korean, Spanish and Swedish

An international Toy company based in Exeter, Devon with offices in New York and Hong Kong wanted their product documentation translated into German, Italian, Korean, Spanish and Swedish. Particular help and advice was given relating to the Korean language: how to outline the text to avoid font issues using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. For verification purposes all the translations were also supplied as high resolution PDFs. The client was pleased with the quality of the translations and has commissioned additional work.

Simplifies Chinese Translation For South West England Design Agency

A design agency based in the Devon area of the South-West region of England required a Simplified Chinese translation for one of their main clients involved with communication infrastructure solutions. As the brochures had a high-level design specification, they preferred to typeset the text themselves into Adobe InDesign CS3 so we supplied a two column Word document with source and target language divided into sentences and headings. Once formatted they sent us low resolution PDF’s for one final check to make sure everything was where it should be.

French and Spanish Translations For Major PLC in Ivybridge, Devon

A major plc with a plant in Ivybridge, Devon, required (European) French and Spanish translations of their updated guidance. Their previous translation was completed over 5 years ago so to help make the project more cost effective we aligned their previous translation. This is where we combine the English and target language versions in our memory databases so that matches between the new and original text are automatically recognised, and the relevant existing translation called up. Our clients can benefit from translation they have already paid for in this way – memory matches and repeated text segments are charged at half price. This particular client achieved substantial cost savings.

On-line Questionnaire Translated into Czech for London based Client

A large employee engagement and retention specialist based in the London area of the UK needed an on-line questionnaire to be translated into Czech.  The original was supplied in Excel 2007 with further reference material from their website. Within the Excel document HTML code was used which had to be retained within the translation. Sections which did not require translation were highlighted. We were able to suppress these sections within our CAT software, preventing accidental changes during the translation process, and reducing the word count for charging purposes. This is another example of how our translation process both reduces costs and improves the speed and quality of translation.

London based Charity Requires European Portuguese and French translations

A charity based in London wanted European Portuguese and French translations of their re-charge documentation. The client wanted particular highlighted words to remain in English. Our translation team was instructed accordingly. All the translations were eventually aligned for future use, and the terms to be retained in English put into a terminology database to ensure that future translations were consistent with the client’s policy.

Swedish Case Study Translated For Environmental Management & Consultancy Clients

One of our regular clients specialising in environmental management and consultancy urgently needed a new case study to be translated into Swedish. For consistency and continuity we used the same translator and proof-reader teams as for previous work, who had proven their ability to achieve accuracy in their selection of terminology in this fast-developing field. The client’s Swedish office reported excellent feedback.
